Mother Marys

Working with Greg Dwyer on Mother Mary’s Manchester gave us the opportunity to help completely redefine a venue with a strong history and identity already attached to it. Formerly home to the iconic Font Bar, the challenge was not simply to refurbish the space but to give it an entirely new character while respecting the venue's energy and legacy.

  • Having collaborated with Greg across a number of previous projects, there was already a strong level of trust and creative understanding from the outset. Greg had a clear vision for the atmosphere and direction of Mother Mary’s, and we were brought in to help translate that into a fully realised physical environment.

The project involved reworking the venue through scenic fabrication, interior detailing and layered design elements that helped establish a bold new identity for the space. Every decision was focused on creating an environment that felt distinctive, character-led and built for the experience of the venue as much as its visual impact.

It was a project that pushed the creative and technical side of what we do... and definitely raised the bar in more ways than one.
