Forbidden Forest

Our relationship with Forbidden Forest goes back almost to the very beginning. Through the festival’s early development and the evolution that followed, including Victoria Warehouse's involvement, we’ve remained part of the creative journey as the event has grown into one of the UK’s most recognised immersive electronic music festivals.

  • Now, as the festival approaches its 10th anniversary in 2026, the scale and ambition of the production have reached an entirely new level.

Forbidden Forest has become a defining project for Crafthouse. From the ground up, we’ve been responsible for designing and developing large-scale scenic environments, stage builds, and immersive structures that have helped shape the festival's visual identity over the years. The builds are enormous, theatrical and constantly evolving, designed not just as stages, but as worlds people step into.

One of the most rewarding parts of the project has been the level of creative freedom involved. Sean developed much of the broader narrative direction for the builds and expanded that vision year after year, allowing the festival to evolve visually while maintaining its distinct identity and atmosphere.

What started as ambitious scenic concepts has grown into one of the core creative pillars of Crafthouse itself. Every year is an opportunity to push the scale, detail, and experience even further, and somehow each edition continues to surpass the last.
